Unique city palace with sea view in historic Salento town
The Palazzo Ugente is located in the historic center of the ancient town of Ugento which is of Messapian origin.
The building dates back to the 16th century as evidenced by the particular stylistic architecture. Over centuries it has belonged to three noble families from Southern Italy all related to each. The Palace enjoys an excellent position in the center of the town with sea view from its terraces and rooftop.
The building has a “U” architectural layout, typical of the period in which it was built, arranged over two floors. The two floors of the building develop on the garden floor and on the upper floor with sea view on its main side. The palazzo has ca 380 square meters of living space with a total of 17 rooms plus attic. the building has two opposing entrances: one in via Roma, the other from the pertinent garden in via Messapica.
